Here are a few comments from former participants of Father/Teen Adventure:

From a dad:

"You have moved XXX and I out of our comfort zones this week. He and I have been at a critical point in our relationship for years and I have been praying for an opportunity to redeem the many mistakes and loss of temper over the years. This week was a landmark event and has done more to bring us together than you will ever know."

From a son:

"Thanks for the entire week, it has strengthened my relationship with God, my father, and everyone here. Thanks for changing my outlook on everything."

From a son:

"Thanks a bunch for a great week and all of the fun and adventures we had during this week. I really enjoyed ATV-ing, rafting, climbing, and watching the Band of Brothers episodes we watched every night. You made a great effort to make sure we had a fun week and I thank you for that."

From a Dad:

"This is a short note to say thank you for all that you’ve done for me and xxx this week. You knew our names form day 01, what a way to kick things off. Your self-less way of giving so much of yourself has made this week the A+ adventure it’s been. I want to give you particular thanks for investing so much of your time in xxx. You have inspired him by your Christian example and your encouragement. Thanks for reinforcing in his mind that all things are possible. This is a special place, the Lord is here in a powerful way and you’ve allowed us to realize that this week."

Letter from a grandmother whose grandson attended:

"How can I begin to thank you! XXXX had a wonderful time last week—an answer to so many prayers. When his mother was asking him about the week, she asked, "How did you like Rick? His answer was “He’s cool”. That spoke volumes to me. You have won his heart and I am forever grateful. He also said, “ I feel great. I feel close to God and to Dad.” I was in prayer for you all week long. Now I am hoping that he will get involved in your high school group. Please keep in touch with him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. PS If I can ever do anything to help you, please call on me."

E-mail from a Dad

"Rick,
Many thanks for everything you did. Our FTA week will be a hallmark in our lives for xxx and I. So you know, we are expecting to see your smiling face grace our doorway sometime / anytime in the near or distant future. Hard to capture in words just what last week meant to us. A special time spent with special people. Thanks for being the guide through it all. You are a good man, Rick. You made a difference this last week. Thanks for caring."

From A Dad

"Bravo Zulu on your performance for what certainly is God’s calling of you. Thanks for the spiritual growth and non-stop fun."

E-mail from a Dad

"Thanks Rick. Our week was one of the best I've ever had on several fronts. It really made and impact on xxxx and my life."

From a Dad

"This has been an awesome Godly experience for xxx and I. God bless your efforts to enable young men to become real godly men."
