Volunteer and Paid Staff Opportunities

We have paid and volunteer staff openings for this summer. There are great opportunities to serve those who are in the military and their families.

The paid staff positions include teacher/counselors, cook’s assistants, nursery worker, and teen staff leaders. We also have opportunities for volunteer staff to serve. If any of these positions interest you, please read the rest of this page and contact us for job descriptions and applications.

Spring Canyon is a ministry to the U.S. military (active duty, reserve, retired) and their families. We accomplish that ministry today by providing a place for these families to get away and have time together while providing teaching for the adults and children. Time at Spring Canyon is also a time of fun and inspiration.

Classes for the adults and children are held in the morning and evenings with the afternoons left open for family activities together. Each week, Wednesday is Family Day Away when families can explore the camp, the surrounding national forests, old mining towns or just relax and have time together.

Our staff helps this to happen by teaching the children, serving meals, keeping the chalets and lodges clean and preparing for our guests. It’s hard work and done six days a week but the rewards are immeasurable. Many of our families return to Spring Canyon because it has become their home away from home and they tell us how the staff helps them to feel at home.

We strive not only to serve the families but also our staff. The days here at the Canyon are a time of service, placing others first, sharing the love of Jesus, supporting, challenging and encouraging each other through daily devotions, teaching sessions and having fun together.

If this kind of experience sounds interesting to you, please contact us at camptech(at)springcanyon.org or call us at 719-395-2328.

Grace be with you ,

Dean Rizzo
