SUMMARY:Rocky Mountain High #2
DESCRIPTION:Mentor: LTC David Schulz\, USA (Ret) \nA proud veteran\, Dave served multiple combat deployments as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer and later as a U.S. Diplomat and Foreign Area Officer in Latin America. His leadership and dedication to public service were nationally recognized when he was selected as a White House Fellow. While serving in The White House\, Dave helped lead national workforce development efforts\, working closely with top U.S. companies on programs to re-skill American workers as part of the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board. \nToday\, Dave continues to invest in the future through his work with education and technology. He serves on the multiple boards of STEM\, Robotics\, and Military Veteran organizations\, as well as The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Leadership Advisory Board and is partner in a Private Equity firm.\nDave Schulz is deeply committed to ensuring the next generation is equipped with the skills\, values\, and opportunities to become successful\, responsible members of our society. \nDave’s goal for RMH is to empower JMOs and attendees with the spiritual gift of truly knowing our God\, and how best to use this gift in our everyday lives and real-world challenges. \nCo-Mentor: Lt Col Jeff Coleman\, USAF \nHi! I’m Jeff Coleman\, a USAF Reserve judge advocate (JAG) and lieutenant colonel currently serving at USAFA. I have been serving in the Air Force for nineteen years. I have also obtained a degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and served in full-time ministry in New Zealand for seven years. My passions are forming reproducing discipleship groups\, teaching inductive Bible study\, and running apologetics retreats. Averil and I live with our five children in Castle Pines\, Colorado. \nMy goal as an RMH mentor is to have fun as we advance to spiritual maturity together. \nMake a Reservation

He has completed 300 of 500 miles of the Colorado Trail and hopes to finish it in the next 2 years. \nAs an RMH mentor\, Andrew’s goal is to walk alongside participants as they grow in faith\, character\, and leadership. He wants to help future officers reflect honestly on their experiences\, think clearly about calling and direction\, and develop the habits needed to lead well in complex and demanding environments. He is look forward to leveraging his experiences and the unique outdoor settings to encourage an integrated Christian faith that shapes how they make decisions\, relate to others\, and step forward in their careers to glorify God with all their heart\, soul\, mind\, and strength. \nCo-Mentor: LT Jake Skimmons\, USCG \nLieutenant Jacob Skimmons is a staff engineer at the U.S. Coast Guard Marine Safety Center in Washington\, D.C.  After graduating from the Coast Guard Academy in 2020\, he served as damage control assistant aboard the heavy icebreaker POLAR STAR (WAGB-10)\, then earned a master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  He is also a 2021 Saratoga Fellow and second-place winner of the U.S. Naval Institute’s 2024 Coast Guard Essay Contest.  For recreation\, he enjoys cycling\, rowing\, and being outdoors.\n\n\n\nJake would like to pay forward the experience he had at Rocky Mountain High as a cadet in 2019.  Since the program seeks to build Christian faith in cadets and midshipmen through challenges in nature\, it is an opportunity to serve God with both my outdoorsman and leadership skills.  His goal is to build a solid fellowship among the crew and inspire faith by encouraging them in taking on challenges\, both physically in the Collegiate Peaks\, and spiritually in God’s word.  Through that\, we will all draw nearer to God.\n\n\nMake a Reservation
