He graduated there back in the spring of 2017 and will pin on Captain in May of 2021. Colin’s first station was JBSA-Lackland where he worked in the contracting career field. While in SA Colin transitioned into a flying training pipeline. Due to his career change it brought him to NM for some follow on training\, where he is now; however\, Colin will be coming out to RMH from NV\, which will be his new permanent duty station. He met his wife\, Emily\, in San Antonio and they were married in March of 2019! A few fun facts include his love for traveling\, outdoor activities and sports. Colin has been through RMH twice and is super stoked to come back!

DESCRIPTION:Mentors:\nVADM Dean Lee\, USCG (Ret.)\, Mr. Rob Allen\, and Col Tony Kim\, USAF (Ret.)\nTony Kim is a retired USAF Colonel who works as an Emergency Physician in Colorado Springs.  He graduated from the USAF Academy in 1992\, from medical school at the Uniformed Services University (USU) in 1999\, and completed residencies in both Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.  He spent half his career overseas and his assignments/deployments took him all over the world.  He ended his career as faculty at the medical school where he started his medical career.  Unique experiences include fighter squadron support as a flight doc and humanitarian missions to the Arctic as well as Indonesia.  He and his wife Lisa have been married 25 years and have 4 children\, 2 of which matriculated at the Air Force Academy.  He loves the mountains as he feels closer to the Lord in them.

DESCRIPTION:Mentors:\nCol Hous Waring\, USAF (Ret.) & CPT Josh Wiley\, USA\nColonel Hous Waring was commissioned in 1988 upon his graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy.  Days later he married the former Captain Tami Wilson\, USAF.  Over the course of the next 25 years they raised nine children and now have 14 grandchildren.  Colonel Waring’s combat service included Operations DESERT SHIELD\, DESERT STORM\, SOUTHERN WATCH\, NORTHERN WATCH\, JOINT ENDEAVOR\, JOINT FORGE\, ALLIED FORCE and ENDURING FREEDOM.  Hous finished his career as Director for Operations (J3)\, Alaskan Command (ALCOM) and JTF-Alaska (JTF-AK). In 2013 he and Tami retired from active duty to serve as Officers’ Christian Fellowship (OCF) Staff at Maxwell-Gunter AFB for five years\, and now they serve as OCF’s Director of Field Engagement\, encouraging lay leaders to labor faithfully around the world.

He and his wife Christie bring a strong passion for the Lord and love for His people with experience across six continents. They have been involved in OCF ministry for over 25 years to include service as local leaders across the globe\, on Council and to our chaplains. Scott and Christie have been married for 27 years and have three daughters and two sons\, one of which recently became a Marine. Scott has led Bible studies for diverse groups for over twenty years\, including youth\, Harvard graduate students\, young couples\, fighter pilots and generals. He has also served as a youth pastor and lay minister. Christie has co-hosted Bible studies with Scott for over 15 years and served in leadership with Bible Study Fellowship for 11 years. \nPrior to this current role\, Scott served in the embassy in The Hague\, Netherlands\, and Baghdad\, Iraq.  He is an F-16 instructor pilot who commanded a group in Iraq and a squadron in Korea. He also has extensive legislative experience serving three different Secretaries of Defense and the Secretary of the Air Force.

DESCRIPTION:Mentor: Lt Col Jeff Miller\, USAFR (Ret) \nJeff is a USAFA Grad\, class of 1988. He retired after 35 years of service in 2024. During his career\, he spent all but three years as an Instructor Pilot in both the Air Force and Navy Reserve. SUMMARY:Rocky Mountain High #3 (International Week)
DESCRIPTION:International week will include international cadets and officers but is also open American cadets/mids. \nMentor: COL Andy MacLean\, USA (Ret) \nAfter graduating from West Point in 1995\, Andy became an Artillery Officer. As a Captain in the 3rd Infantry Division\, he participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom 1 as a Fire Support Officer for an Armor Task Force. He was selected as an Olmsted Scholar and studied 2 years in Mexico\, opening the door to become an Army Foreign Area Officer for the second half of his Army career. In addition to participating in OCF\, Andy now serves with the Associates for Christian Conferences Teaching and Service (ACCTS)\, building and encouraging military Christian fellowships in other countries. \nAs an RMH Mentor\, he hopes to accomplish at least 3 things:\n1) Help bolster the faith of those who attend\n2) Help them see that their time in the military is also a calling to Kingdom work\n3) Allow them to build relationships and experience the value of participating in a military Christian community wherever the Lord sends them. \nCo-Mentor: CPT Mimi Mejia\, USA \nMimi graduated from USMA in 2019 and commissioned as an Infantry Officer. She completed her platoon leader time at Fort Carson\, CO and is currently stationed at Fort Knox\, KY with follow on orders to Fort Drum\, NY. She did RMH as a cadet in 2018 and has been involved with OCF since 2016. The teachings\, mentorship\, and friendship have positively impacted every step of her journey\, and she can’t wait to see what the future holds! \nAs a RMH mentor\, she aims to equip young officers to grow in their faith\, providing tools to help them cling to God as they serve. She hopes that we can encourage one another and learn from each other\, and that we leave better prepared to do the will of the Lord\, wherever he has us. \nMake a Reservation
