Winter Retreat Volunteers
WR #1: December 20-27, 2025 // WR #2: December 28 – January 4, 2026
We have a selective application process to ensure we recruit volunteers dedicated to serving our guests with a whole heart. Completing this application is the first step in this process. Please complete and submit all application materials no later than October 31, 2025.
Our volunteers need to be at least 14 years old. Family members under age 14, who are attending with their volunteer family members will need to register and pay for WR as guests.

Weekend Volunteer Opportunities
We need weekend volunteers as well! Spring Canyon enjoys the support of our hard working volunteers during recurring, non-summer retreats. Most church groups or retreat programs join us over weekends, running from from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch. Spring Canyon provides training, along with all meals and lodging. Come on out and support our ministry as a family! Workers need to be over the age of 14. Any family members who are not working or are under the age of 14 will pay normal rates. We routinely send out email requests for help from our loyal volunteers, so if you’re interested in serving over a weekend (or during a specific retreat), please contact us at [email protected] to get on our volunteer roster.
Summer Staff Positions
Are you looking to spend your summer in an amazing location while building life skills, growing closer to God, and forming new friendships? Apply for one of our three summer staff opportunities: Senior Staff, Apprentices, and Cornerstone. Each team varies in age, responsibilities, and duration of service.
Senior Staff
Senior Staff are young adults (18 and older) who fulfill important staff roles for the entire summer (mid-May to early August). With roles ranging from Staff leaders to Outdoor Guides to Teachers, Senior Staff is an opportunity to grow closer to God, serve others, form strong friendships, and build valuable life skills. Rolling acceptances begin January 15!

Apprentice
Apprentices are previous Cornerstone staff members (ages 17-19) who serve in specific staff roles for one month. Roles include Outdoor Programs, Kitchen Team, Teacher Assistants, and more. Build invaluable life skills and enjoy serving the summer ministry programs of Spring Canyon for a full month!

Cornerstone
Cornerstone volunteers (ages 15-19) are the backbone of our summer staff – they make our summer program ministries possible! Cornerstone staff serve for 2-3 week sessions – learning, growing, and forming friendships through hard work, serving God and His people, and interacting with staff and guests.
