Winter Retreat
Celebrate the Winter Season in the beautiful Rocky Mountains!
Christmas and New Years are a wonderful time to experience meaningful spiritual teaching and the joy of the holidays at Spring Canyon. Winter Retreat takes place in two sessions, lasting one week each, over both the Christmas and New Year holidays. Winter sports, such as snow tubing, sledding, downhill and cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing, are unique elements of Spring Canyon’s WR. Nearby hot springs and cozy settings provide relaxing backdrops for this winter retreat.
During WR, your days will be open to explore the vast array of Colorado winter adventures, and evening programming will take place nightly in the rustic accommodations of Spring Canyon’s main lodge, Hartley Holmes. Each week will feature a different speaker and adults can expect dynamic seminars and small group sessions. Age-specific programs for children, youth, and teens provide lasting memories and exciting experiences for the whole family. Additional daily childcare may also be available.
Spring Canyon is located between Monarch and Copper Ski Mountains. You can engage most winter sports on our property, and guided activities are also available.

For special dietary needs and preferences, we can provide alternates for $50 per week (including low-carb and high protein protocols) with coordination at least two weeks prior to your stay. If you have an anaphylactic allergy or celiac disease, please note that our kitchen contains contaminants such as wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, and more. For these types of life-threatening conditions, whether ingest or airborne, we require a prior consultation with our Food Services Manager and strongly urge you to consider bringing your own food and always carry an epi-pen.

Discounts
Early Bird discounts are available from September 1-30, 2025 for qualified guests who have never been to Spring Canyon or to Winter Retreat.
- First time to Spring Canyon (OCF Members serving in uniform or retired military only): 30% off (cannot be combined with other discounts).
- First time attending Winter Retreat (OCF Members serving in uniform or retired military only): 20% off (can be combined up to 25%).
Winter Retreat 2025-26 discounts not limited to OCF members (available for anyone):
- First time to Spring Canyon: 15% off
- First time attending Winter Retreat: 15% off
Be a Bringer or a Sender! Refer someone for Winter Retreat who has never attended Spring Canyon and you’ll receive a discount! A “Bringer” who attends with them will receive a 10% discount. A “Sender” who refers them but can’t attend this year will receive a 5% discount voucher good for any Spring Canyon program or retreat within one year. This discount is not applicable to immediate family members.
Other Discounts
The below discounts apply to OCF members who are presently serving in uniform (Active Duty, Reserves, or National Guard) or who are retired military.
- Large Family Discount: OCF Members presently uniformed or retired military will only pay base rates for 2 parents and the 4 oldest children. Cannot be combined with other discounts. This does not include items or activities purchased at the retreat center. **Note that a “family” per this policy is defined as any parent(s) with dependent children 20 years old and younger (i.e., the maximum rate does not apply to a 21-year old college student or a married 20 year old).
- 10%: Company grade discount (O1-O3)
- 20%: Enlisted and military student discount (Enlisted Members, Midshipmen, Cadets and other undergraduate college students.)
- 5%: Deployed service member discount (For families of currently deployed or recently-returned (within 6 months) service members.)
- 10%: OCF Regional/Area Coordinators and Local Leaders Discount
There is a maximum of 25% discount when combining available discounts. A special program is available for widows of service members through OCF.
Deposit Policy
A non-refundable deposit is charged at the time of registration to secure your reservation. This advanced deposit allows us to meet early program expenses including speaker travel, seasonal staff salaries and teaching materials. This one-time deposit is applied toward your final bill and is not an additional fee.
Scholarship Policy
As a nonprofit, it is always our goal to provide modest rates for all of our guests. We know that traveling as a family can be expensive, and that cost can still be a deterrent for many of our families. Thanks to generous sponsors, discounts are available for families that qualify. Cancellation Policy
Reservations may be cancelled at any time. Cancellations made before 31 days prior to arrival will be eligible for a full refund minus the non-refundable deposit. If a cancellation occurs within 30 days of your stay, additional penalties may apply. If you are cancelling due to military orders, the non-refundable deposit and any subsequent payments will be returned in full.
